Celebrate Everyday: Project Life with Marina

Hello dear crafters, Marina is here and it is the time for some Project Life.

I was lucky once again to work with great collection pack Ready Set Go by Amy Tangerine. It suits amazingly my photos and my style.

Last 2 weeks were very busy and emotional for me - it is the end of my son's school year. Lots of activities they had at school. There was a trip to Kidzania. So my first spread is dedicated to it. I used lots of photos and cut speech bubbles out of patterned paper and used it on the photos with my son's comments about each activity he had at Kidzania.

I laminated instructions from school about the trip and inserted it as an extra memorabilia.

I loved using small puffy stickers here and there..

 And another week spread.

And again I could not skip my favorite transparent letter stickers.

I loved how everything so well coordinated in the collection. I cut title card, placed another cut to stick the date on and used Remarks Letter Stickers. Totally love this look..
So that is it for today, I hope with hot summer days you will find more opportunities to create scrapbooks, cards and other beautiful things.. Thanks for stopping by...

Xox, Marina.

A Shadow Box in Less Than 30 Minutes: Video Tutorial Wednesday

Hi all! Louella here for another video tutorial. I can't even imagine that in just 30 mins, I made a simple shadow box.

Anyways, the project I created is still about this month's challenge,
"In Less Than 30 Minutes."

"- Your Heart will lead you HOME.."

For my project, I decided to create a shadow box. I happen to pick up this frame from Ikea over the weekend and wanted to create something that will include a date for our Anniversary, February 19 (0219), just a best decor for our front entry room.  I forgot how much fun using a shadow box can be, especially when you like to use lots of chipboard pieces and some flowers.

It's your turn now! I hope you'll be inspired to create something lovely.  I know the challenge this month is not easy.. but trust me, you can do something in your 30 minutes..  :-)
Thank you in advance for watching!

With Love,
Louella

Tutorial Monday: Winter ready layout (in summer!!!)

Hello crafty people!
It's another Monday again and that means a photo tutorial for you all.

I know it's summer in the most part of the world already but I was given a winter themed collection in my DT kit for this month :) Like Winter in July ;) Let's not forget that we also have a challenge to create projects for less than 30 minutes, okay? So that's double wham for me! :D

To make it to the 30-minute time constraint, I chose the things I wanted to use on my page beforehand which matched my chosen photos (thanks to my dear cousin Liz for always letting me use their photos). This saved me time deciding which one goes to what. I kept everything simple. Think of complementing colors and embellishments for your page. I thought to add some paper twine (I ended up using one only) and buttons.
I wanted to make a warm-feeling kind of layout so I chose the wood grain pattern paper. Then I cut a piece of another solid color background paper to mat all my layers, to make it stand out in contrast to the dark paper underneath. I also added a small silver doily to add interest and texture as well.
I arranged the strips of papers, banners and buttons, mentally taking note of all the positions because I will later move this around to adhere.
Added twine underneath the banners like so and the stickers too

I really loved how it turned out! The kit made it much easier to assemble the whole page. A total plus if you're in a hurry but wanted to scrap those winter photos and add to your album already.
Hope you liked my post!
Do check out our challenge this month and join along!

June Challenge: In Less Than 30 Minutes

Hello there again Pretty People, it's me, Louella to share my pretty pink layout I made in less than 30 minutes.

It's a tough challenge for this month yeah?..hmm.. wait, I will tell you my secret.. :-)

 "City Girl"

would you believe this is just in less than 30 minutes?? :-)

Tips from ME;

1. You need to choose or make a sketch of your layout that will serve as a guidance to your project (which is very important for you start)..

2. Gather all your materials in one tray (so that it's easy for you to limit yourself in finishing your project)..

3. You try to assemble all your embellishments in accordance with your sketch.
4. Take a picture with your phone or camera before finalizing things up (will help u finish it immediately).
5. Glue it accordingly.
6. Put some details.
7. DONE.
:-)

 Here are the detailed photos;

For me, I used Amy Tangerine Please Commit Patterned Paper with Amy Tangerine die cuts . I put Gesso on the boarders of my paper to compliment on my pink and gray theme.

The colors are very feminine and soft! I love the idea of putting a ribbon below the picture. It's amplifying the effects of the picture.
Hope you like it..enjoy creating ladies!
with so much Love,
 Lou

Celebrate Everyday: Project Life with Marina

Hello everyone!! Marina is here and it is time for some Project Life.

Have a look at my Project Life spread. Even though it is tough for me to participate in PPS challenges due to the nature of my project, this month I think I managed it - I finished my spread within 30 min. And it is all because I took time and I prepared all my title and journaling cards before hand.

Once again I want to share my fascination with  alpha stickers Transparent from Yes, Please collection.  I could not get enough of them.

So this is it for today, hope you like it and have a great weekend everybody,
see you..

Xx, Marina
