2nd anniversary: Donna's card pick

Hello once again PPS followers!

Today, I will share a really pretty card created by previous DT member, Asia.

I love the monochromatic look, I rarely come away successful when I try this style. She was able to make everything work together. I love the distressed and inked edges, the frames and little embellishments tucked underneath, and the glittered sentiments and polka dot stars.

Thank you for dropping by!

Happy crafting everyone!

PPS's 2nd Anniversary - Shruti's favorite DT Projects

Good Morning!

I am here to share with you all some of my favorite projects made by some of the current (incuding me) and past DTs.

First one is this gorgeous envelope created my Ime.

Love the big blooms and the colors she has chosen on this one! Very pretty!

The next one of my old projects which is also, I believe, one of the best mini Album I've made so far..

You have got to see this post to know why I love this Spring Break mini album.

Next is this lovely Tag made by our ex-DT Asia.

Love the bright colors.. the Pinwheel kinda design background, the chevron patterned circle die cut.. Just everything looks so perfect.

That is all from me for today.

Until next time,

2nd anniversary: Donna's favorite layout

Hello everyone! Donna here again to share my second pick among previous DT projects created since PPS started.

I chose this layout by Ime Oranga.

As you all know by now, I LOVE details that make up the whole page special. That's what I have in common with Ime, I think ;) This layout captured my love for texture, dimension and colors. I definitely love the different knick-knacks tucked in and under the photo.

Come back again on Thursday for Ime's turn.

Happy crafting everyone!

Happy 2nd birthday to my PPS family

Hi folks!
Pretty Paper Studio is two years old already! How time flies! I'm so happy to be still in this awesome group of ladies and I'm very grateful that our boss, Neelu, is one of the most generous and understanding person I've got to know.

For this month, to celebrate Pretty Paper Studio's 2nd birthday, we're to share our favorite projects in the past two years.

I chose projects that I've done myself for my first set of projects.

First is this altered canvas. I love this one because it's the first OTB project I did that's really mixed media (IMO hehe). I was very nervous at first coz I was thinking I'm not doing it right. But while thinking what to do next, I told myself to just let it GO and CREATE. I experimented a lot and I liked how it turned out. Another thing is, I was able to use a lot of scraps here for the little rolled flowers I placed everywhere.
Second one is this altered cardboard mini-album (and YES, I love recycling ;) hehe).
I made this project with a list of crafty resolutions for this year. I think I'm half way through it already :) You can check out more detail shots in this post, it's a bit farther down it's quite a long post :D What I love about this project is that I was able to mix and match old and new scrapbook stash. I love my handmade transparent flowers, the word "create" which I fuzzy cut with knife and scissors, the mixture of bold colors, and those layers of awesome embellishments.
Third but not the least, is this little Christmas Tree I created out of (again) scraps of old and new papers, doilies and other stuff. It was quite tough figuring out how to cut those circles in staggering size. I almost gave up..but nope, I have to stick to it coz I really really want a Christmas tree lol! :D I was glad I didn't give up because it turned out really pretty, if I may say so :)
So there you have it, these are my most fave projects (by yours truly) the past years. I still have more to share so stay tuned for that! :)

Happy crafting,

Happy 2nd Birthday, PPS!

Hello and welcome to PPS's second birthday celebrations!! PPS turned two and I cannot believe how quickly time has flown by. I am excited and elated to be a part of this little store since the time it was born. It is amazing to see how much PPS has grown in these two years..

Just the other I sat back and went through all the old and new projects that we, the design team members (old and new) had made and shared with you guys in these two years. And I could clearly see how much our style and techniques had improved and changed in these years. I have only learnt more and grown to be a better craft-er with PPS. I have so much to thank PPS for!!

So I thought I'd take some time and refresh your memory by sharing with you some of our old creations. I decided to pick few of my favorite scrapbook layouts from all the ones we have shared and inspired you with.
When I talk about my favourite layouts, obviously, for me, nobody beats Donna. Her style is simply awesome!! :-) to pick just one out of all her layouts was very difficult for me. There were so many awesome ones to choose from.. But I somehow managed to pick two..

What I love the most about this layout is the texture she has created in the background and of course those beautiful blooms and the placement of each element on the layout!

Another beauty! Love the splash of colors in the background. So pretty!

Next is a beautiful creation by our former DT member Louella.

Lou has a unique style and I am a huge fan! I love how she has distressed the wood grain pattern paper here. I sure have got a lot to learn from her layering techniques. Simply outstanding!

I also love the simplicity of Asia's style of scrapbook-ing in this particular layout.

Very clean and simple yet elegant!

Which of these did you like the most? Or are there some other favorite of yours? Do comment below and let us know.

Until next post, this is Shruti signing off!
